The Twelve Carbon Composite sole, whilst not as light as that found on the Wire, has been specifically designed to cradle the foot perfectly, lending great levels of both comfort and performance. In addition to the comfort offered by the generous padding in the tongue, SIDI have also greatly improved their insole. The Ergo 5s deliver everything you could need for racing or sportives, club runs or solo ventures. A small allen key adjusts the system which wraps around the heel for more or less grip depending on the foot and which helps to reduce heel slip and rub. An elegant and minimalist look combines with a bucket load of technologies and performance that are married to a stiff yet comfortable sole. The Sidi Ergo 5 is - in this man's opinion - probably the best value shoe in the range. The Ergo 5 sees an upgrade from the 2-way caliper ratchet and twin velcro strap on the lesser models, to the Tecno 3 closure system. Sidi's legendary customisable comfort and fit are of course a main feature of the Ergo 5. The bottom of the closure is a single small velcro strap.
