The 985BB features two permanently lubricated, non-detachable, hardened chrome alloy ball bearings that increase load capacity and hinge life. They may be used on wood or hollow metal doors and corresponding frames. The stainless steel, rust-proof pin is knurled at the top to prevent rising, yet is "free-floating" within the barrel of the hinge. The pin can be easily removed by unthreading each finial and tapping the pin upwards. They conform to ANSI (American National Standards Institute) A2112 Specifications for performance, screw hole and cutout locations.
